What are Single Lashes or Doubles or even Triple Lashes?
The normal individual lashes are singles but there are available, doubles, sometimes known as V or Y lashes and triples sometimes known as W lashes. These enable the technician to do a fast application and get maximum effect. The drawback; the doubles and triples are heavy for your own lashes and are not applied strictly one on one lash. Not trying to scare you but over time your lashes could fall out or more commonly you could get bald patches. They are however no problem if used for a short period of time and removed professionally.

What training has your eyelash technician had?
Training varies a LOT! There are half day courses where the student comes out qualified after only a few hours, to courses over a whole weekend that will not qualify the student until they've gone away and practiced what they've been taught over a period of weeks and submitted photos of multiple clients. Then if the training company is happy with the student's application, they certify the student as a technician. Big difference uh!

What thickness of lash should I have?
There are 3 thicknesses in general use, they are 0.15, 0.2 and 0.25. Some may offer even thicker.
You need to consider the strength of your own lash, how thick is it and how long. If a thick long lash is applied to your own lash and it can't support it, it will probably fall out prematurely and over time could distort the way your lash grows. Also the lashes will most likely cross over which isnt a good look.

What should I look for after I've had them done?
The lashes should be totally comfortable, you shouldn't really be able to feel them at all! There should be no pulling, soreness, heaviness or stinging. They should grow over the weeks feeling just as comfortable.
